spax rsx coilovers ajustable damping

Featured Replies

Ok so I just brought Spax RSX coilovers and have fitted them. I have them sitting just above tuck atm with loads of room for drop left :) I'm just wondering how to have the damping ? The rears are 28 click adjustable 1 being soft 28 being very firm done by an external knob on the side of the strut . And the fronts I believe may only be rebound adjustable as they adjust by a little knob thing they give you to wind the piston rod from the top mount in the engine bay.

Anyone have any experience with adjustable damping could do with some advice on getting them right. Will only be using them for road use which are pritty rough round my area haha

It's all trail and error.

Start off at the softest setting, if it too soft adjust it until your happy, although I'd probley just start from the middle and go either way.

Yeah that's what I did in the end. Started with soft and went up 4 clicks at a time then when it got to firm went down 1 click at a time. Have to say they are a great investment even when there low they are still well comfy ride. Only problem is the back goes much lower than the front so not great if your looking for massive drop. Unless you just take the helpers out.
