6n2 Gti passenger window trouble.

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, the passenger window on my 6n2 that i have just bought wont go down or up and is stuck in the up position, i have replaced window switches both sides (as i have heard these are common to die and an easy fix) but still no luck. But, when you press either switch for the window you can hear the relay or something clicking inside the door but nothing else happening.

I have also had the door card off and checked all cables etc to see if snapped or anything but all still seem intact, but as i cant put the window down, i cant get the window clamps undone to get the motor etc out to test them.

has anyone else had this problem? if so, what was the cause and how was it fixed?

Cheers for any help.

I had the similar problem but my window was stuck down. So replaced window motor. But you say you can't get to the tens that hold the glass in. All you got to do is undo the bolts that hold the whole regulator in position then lower the whole lot together with someone holding the glass then you should be able to remove the glass. Hope that makes sense any more questions ring me on 07989812424 good luck
