hi guys I've a 98 6N 1.4 and its kinda hard on petrol, has anyone ever came across this before ? could do with a bit of help here

There are all sorts of reasons why petrol consumption may be high, reasons range from the size of your right foot! to the car being in need of a service (particularly items such as spark plugs and air filter) But there can be other reasons such as binding brakes.

Does the car present any other symptoms? If so, these may give us a clue as to what the problem may be.
