Drinks holder in 6N1 - Seat Arose Center Console

Featured Replies

Po*Low* & brettd0gg were good enough to post a picture of this part in 2011 (threads now archived) from a SEAT MK1 Arosa enabling cup holders in a 6N1

Can anyone advise the part number for this so I can buy one as I really miss having somewhere to put my morning coffee!

Thanks guys!

Thanks Nige! Can I get a link? Can't seem to find anywhere to buy one by googling! :)

It will be VW/TPS to supply, unless you can find someone breaking an Arosa on ebay etc

scrappy tbh...

scrappy tbh...

Agreed, although MK1 Arosa's are a bit rare.

Any folks in Manchester know of a good scrappy I could call to check on one of these?

Can't seem to find any other place in the 6N1 to put a bloody drink!

I know of one in Stoke but that's a bit of a trip for you I'm guessing. Gumtree might be worth a shout.

Still looking for a 6X0863212BC81 if anyone has any advice on Manchester scrappys or leads where I could buy one online? Been searching for ages and no joy as yet but I won't give up!

There's a vw breakers behind asda in Shaw

Found a breakers online in Cornwall who today sold me one for £30 inc VAT and delivery - that's not bad is it! Gonna try and cut down the existing console and see if I can fit them together to make it look a little more neat. Will probably botch the old one but worth a try!

Scratching the idea of piecing them together, it would be pointless and look stupid. Much better to take it all out and simply replace. Just need to figure out how to get the old one out, can't seem to shift the gear stick at all... Where do I begin?

If you guys are struggling that much just do what I did and get creative

You love cutting stuff up don't you

I was considering doing that though

If it doesn't fit cut something

If it does fit cut it anyway for fun

Bye bye cig lighter...

I'm happy with my new purchase, just need to figure out how to remove the old centre console now so I can get it in.

Question though, what does the button to the left of the window switch do?

Nah the cig lighter was just relocated, still there.

I noticed you removed some of the centre console, how did you do that? Do I start by taking the gear stick out? (Does it unscrew cos mine won't budge!)

Erm was a long time ago but from memory you don't need to take off heartsick just pop up the gaitor and remove that . Right at the front there is a little flap with a T20 screw in, then pop off handbrake surround. There May be a screw or two there. Just generally check it for screw/bits of trim you can pop up as I can't remember that long ago. Then you'll need to slide backwards and pop it up

The gear knob is held on with a jubilee clip if that's what you're trying to unscrew

From memory shouldn't have to touch gear stick, just pull off the plastic around the base of it. Which will reveal the hole where the gear stick comes from. Then there will be two screws to undo, you'll also have one to undo in the cubby hole right at the back at the top. Then should just slide out with a bit of wiggling. If you do need to take off the gearknob look for the golden colour clip around the base it will go all the way round and have a little toggle on it, you'll need to open that up with a pair of plyers, then the knob will just slide straight off, to re-tighten do that in reverse but then pinch the toggle with plyers to get it tight.
