This is my 1.4cl Polo that I bought for £300. It needed tax and test but it sailed straight through the MOT which was great. And it also came with a cherry bomb, coilovers, Remote locking, leccy windows, wind deflectors and loads more!

This is me and my V-Dub mates the day after I bought it.

The first mod I did was spraying the edges of the headlight black...

I also bought some REALLY tatty ATS classics with tyres all round for £250 which I thought was pretty good. Absolute nightmare trip though, we got lost and then my 5th gear pretty much died!

The I took her to a meet at Bluewater in Kent

Bought the 6n2 rears off my mate!

And wound the suspension right down(the back can go lower though!

So low!!!!

Here's where I decided to make a 6n2 hybrid rear bumper

Cut and plastic welded to shape

Almost finished the filler

That's also pretty much where it sit atm but I'll progress soon enough! I need a 16v front bumper, a new gearbox, and maybe a gt cam and then I think I'll be happy haha!

I've given the cam cover and real good polish and it brightens up the whole engine bay!

I've bought and fitted a mk3 golf centre console, and I've primered the rear bumper. Definitely getting there!

Finally finished the hybrid rear bumper and tbh it could've gone better but it's not terrible. Just needs a bit of wet sanding and polishing,

I also bought myself a 16v front bumper with fogs and grills for £60!

Test fitting it on the car.

I decided to fill in the top grills, tow eye cover and number plate recess.

I've only got as far as the top grills.

Really making some good progress now!

I swapped my wheels the other day for some 7.5/8j weller steels.

They came with massive poke though...

Could I still get the rear arches rolled over the wheels, even though it's a 5 door?

You can still get your arches rolled/flared despite it being a 5 door. However from that picture dude it looks like you are going to need more than some pulling. Possible cutting and welding dude.

Sweet project so far though mate.

You'll definitely need massive camber, rolling, flairing to make those fit. Could always put some universal arches on. Looks nice though red goes well with the blurple.

Get some serious rear camber on the go lol I know its tyre wear and it won't handle the best but would look siiick especially if you polish the wellers? making good progress though for sure mate!

Cheers for the advice guys, I've seen someone put corsa b arches on their polo on here, but I'm not really sure of the process involved.

Pop rivets/tiger seal and a heat gun to help mold them probably.

Don't know how wide corsa b arches are though.

Sounds like a plan you obviously filling and colour coding them aswell? coz it ain't jap lol, looking forward to see turn out though mate any pics of the polo you seen with corsa arches?

Also looked at some bmw mini arches

Those corsa arches look nice. Looks like they used the front arches all round.

Yeah it looks that way. I was thinking about just giving it some camber and rolling the arches tbh.

Also to update, I broke the plastic gear linkage that's next to the bottom of the gear stick :( stupid polos and their common faults!
