Indentifying if a 6n has ABS...

Featured Replies

Ordering some replacement brake shoes for the drums on our 6n 1.4CL, but not sure how I identify whether I need to buy ABS or non-ABS shoes... Is there a quick (read as 'lazy') way of telling, or is it simply a case of stripping the rear wheel and drum off to have a wee look in there?

Thanks for your help folks!

Lift the bonnet, look on the passenger side below the battery, The ABS pump has a rectangular aluminium body with brake pipes going to it, it also has a cylindrical (motor) unit.

You know what... I can't believe I didn't think of this. You wouldn't think I've replaced no less than two ABS pumps previously... Thanks for your help though - very much appreciated in this time of brain-malfunction!
