I've owned a 6n2 1.4TDI for the last five years which has been a brilliant little car but I need more room for my hobby, mountain biking so I've been looking for a silver estate since Christmas. Most were either bad condition, over priced or too far away until I eventually found the one only ten miles away!

My estate, it's the 1.9TDI SE with 110BHP with A/C and front fogs as standard

More photos to follow of the day I spent valeting and detailing it up to my standards including three hours on just the boot carpet (I hate dog hair)

The lad I bought the car off worked in a bodyshop and had resprayed his second car, an A4 Avant on 3SDM's so I asked him to do some bodywork for me. He resprayed both bumpers and the n/s rear quarter and part of the rear door as there was a nasty scratch/dent. He sent these before and during photos

I like to keep things subtle, less is more. Just a damn good slam, debadge and dewiper and probably wind deflectors

One of the rarest polos the estate with the 110bhp tdi engine in it, it was also the most expensive polo in the range at the time. I had a y plate with same engine, it had sunroof and aircon.

If you look closely you can see a difference in half of the head lining, cleaned/not cleaned

Previous owner had a dog, luckily the car did'nt smell of dog. I don't care about dog hair, much easier to get rid of. Half cleaned/half not

Bottom half cleaned/top half not (notice my trusty hack saw blade for removing dog hair!)

Job done (3hrs later) but included the rest of the boot and under the seats

I've removed the Polo and TDI lettering but the VW badge is'nt the factory standard one and has been glued on so I'm holding fire on that and not sure whether to remove the wiper as I don't know where to get the blank from yet. If you know please reply, I've asked loads of estate owners already

When I bought the car it had a crappy Blaupunkt stereo with a broken volume control so I binned that for the Kenwood KMM-261 and also swapped over the coin tray and cup holder as it was the other way round to how it is now which I did'nt like
