It's time for an upgrade and I want to get something with a bit more grunt, getting bored of "sensible" cars.

At the moment I'm torn between a VW Golf GTI TSI (The DSG model) and a Ford Focus ST. Maybe even a Toyota GT86.

What are your opinions on them? What should I go for? Any other suggestions for similar cars?

Not the focus st, hate them.

My friends dad works at volkswagen and he raves about the tsi's being extremely good engines and nice to drive.

I'd rather have the ae86 than the gt86 any day.

Yeah I was leaning more towards the VW.

Would be quite interesting going for a 30 year old car haha.

Would be a shock! At least it would hold its value though.
