I was just wondering if there were any meets around the south and if not then should we start one, maybe expand it to VAG meet as that's very popular around here. I have heard of a meet on a Sunday in Tesco Camberley, went there, didn't see anyone!

Well hello. There's a meet in Basingstoke called Elite 1k (theres a facebook group) and the Camrose car club looks like a good evening out, however I've not been.

I can't find the facebook group so I assume it's hidden?

Hi, I'm totally new to the older VWs, I've owned several VAG cars over the years as daily cars but always messed with minis as toys. Until now, lol. I've just got a Breadvan, on close inspection it looks nice and solid but very tatty inside. It's got a leaky engine and I need to get it through an MOT and I'll then go from there. Got a few ideas but I'm really struggling to find shops,groups etc to get info from. Maybe I've come to the right place? Anyway I'm only in Farnborough so I'm in your catchment area.

I'm not sure if there is a Southampton meet or a Bournemouth meet?

I live in Southampton though so let me know what you find or if you find anyone else interested.

Hi guys never tried it but Ace Cafe London does a couple vw nights every month so that could be something if a hand full from clubpolo could get there now and then, it has a rep for people speeding up and down there and police showing up but apparently they have speedbumped the whole road so it should be okay now, i went on fast ford night and there is good food and a decent atmosphere in the car park area.

Alternatively I could possibly go portsmouth/southampton as mentioned above however atm reliability of the car is questionable and i would not be doing 150 mile return trip any time soon.

I'm heathrow myself, anyone anywhere near me?
