For a while now I’ve been thinking that Club Polo needs a dedicated thread for your Motorsport Competition Polo’s. So I’ve started this thread for you to post pictures and specs of your competition cars. So we can see what people are up to in the motorsport world with their Polo’s.

I will Start with My Polo Rally car. (ex Polo Challenge Car).

SPEC:

Engine:

240Bhp 180 lb/f 2.0 16v ABF
Fardon Steel Crank,
Arrow Steel Con Rods with ARP bolts,
Spedex Slipper Pistons,
Lightened Fly Wheel,
Full Race head with solid lifters and bronze valve guides.
CAT Cams
Jenvey one piece direct to head throttle bodies,
MBE management,
Pace Dry Sump System.

Transmission:
Sqs 6 speed Dog engagement 02J gearbox with Sqs sequential Shift.
AP Paddle clutch
Par Prop Custom Drive shafts with R32 outer CV joints and 108mm inner CV joints

Suspension:
Proflex 3 way suspension,
H3G Adjustable rose jointed top mounts
H3G Adjustable rose jointed wide tracked lower wishbones
H3G wide tracked rear beam

Brakes:
288mm VR6 front brake setup with Mintex racing 1166 pads and fluid
Polo GTI 6N2 standard brake setup.
Hydraulic Handbrake and Bias valve.

Body Shell:
Ex Polo Challenge Shell been modified to widen the track and lengthen the wheel base to S1600 measurments.

Stich Welded Seams,

OMP multipoint FIA weld in Roll Cage
Genuine Volkswagen Motorsport S1600 arches, bumpers and spoiler,
Light weight Poly carb Windows.

Nice mate, Polo's seem to be quite a rare car in Motorsport, with the exception of the WRC, there is a guy who runs a G40 at Harewood Hill Climb, don't know if he's on this forum, but thats quite a nippy little thing :)
