John's Polo Breadvan 1.3 project

Well we took the breadvan up to retrorides and it was hassle free all the way until suddenly it cut out at lights and didn't run well. Decided on the way back to unplug the lambda and it ran sweet as again so that was a win! Also exhaust was catching everywhere and I'm booking it in for a custom exhaust this month that will sit higher :)

My rear exhaust mount did die on me a few days before the show so I bolted a mk2 golf replacement on instead. 4 quid so can't go wrong with that.

Taped up the loom to tidy the bay before retrorides too even though my bonnet remained closed lol

And one of me being a tit. Misses wanted to take pictures of me doing shit poses. So "faith hilling" and typical calender shot

Throttle cable is working lovely now and as should, bought a European replacement with a shorter rod at the pedal so I could join the two cables at that point which meant I could have sheathing run st

Problem has arisen again but it doesn't affect driveability now. Losing oil again :( cam oil seal or crank oil seal but betting on the cam one. I had a replacement one before social but I'm going to get a genuine one from TPS and see if it's better.

Also got the custom powerflow done by Naz in powerflow slough. It sits nice and high so I have a tonne of clearance, sounds nice. A bit of a rasp when I boot it but not too much cruising about. May do a video at some point. :)

Also some kids were throwing stones off an over bridge and chipped my windscreen in two places. Bang in the middle of the screen too. :(

Looks good!

Watch your fuel economy go down now though, as you'll be driving everywhere giving it some revs :P

Cheers mate, yeah there has been an awful lot of red lining going on...last night in a car park I did a limiter bash to see how it sounded and I almost ejaculated! Time to calm down a bit and get used to it lol

Thanks mate, hopefully you won't have any issues lol. Most of the issues I've had have been out of my own stupidity and if I'm being honest I can't blame it on bad luck...such as not torquing driveshaft bolts properly lol

Glad your enjoying the thread :)

Really good thread you made mate. Just wondering if you still have your polo and any advice on getting one through mot?
