Polo 86c 1.3 r6 carbs

Featured Replies

hello guys,

I'm from Germany and read lots of English forums to get enough knowledge about a bike carbs set up in a polo.

Cause in Germany aren't any forums about this topic, I hope I get some help here :/

I have a polo 1.3 AAV engine, yesterday I started my project with the yamaha r6 rj03 carbs. Original carbs with the original jets and so on

I can start the engine and drive slowly with half throttle. But when I give full throttle at 2500rpm, I have no power.

It sounds that the carbs don't get enough fuel :/

I have use the stock pump from the polo an in the circle of the in an out line from the pump I have a T-piece with one line into the carbs.

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks Chris

Tons of information in the bike-carb topic, in the FAQ section.

I've always used the Honda CBR carbs, they've always been good for me, i've heard of people having problems with R6 carbs but i don't know why.

Do you use also only a t piece?

You'll probably need a restrictor in the return line (from the T piece) so that the fuel fills the float bowls properly rather than just returning.

However, as Mikey said, check out the FAQ as there's all the information you'll need in there.

Personally I don't like the T piece method. I would get a motorbike fuel pump. These stop pumping when fuel is at the required pressure. Use the one from the bike the carbs are from

Here you can see my work till now. I'm not sure but I thing the position of the T-piece must be over the carbs?

Bit of a random one, but I've been trying to message you and your inbox is full. Any chance you could delete a few old messages?

Thanks
