?Does a how too exist on the forum,i have been experiencing a grinding sound coming from the front nearside wheel whilst cornering (turning left) so i thought i would have a look to day,so i jacked her up and grasped the road wheel at 12 and 6 oclock and sure enough there was knock there and some excess play.

So decided to purchase a front wheel bearing kit and get cracking.

Really struggled with the track rod end nut as it kept spinning so i set about grinding the bolt off to get it off and i ended buying a new track rod end joint as well.

Anyway got everything off and i had a go at trying to first of all drift out the inner bearing from the hub with no success at all,??what's the best way to remove these anyone.

If all else fails maybe i could just buy the whole hub assembly with a new bearing already in there,so had a look on ebay,mine is the non ABS type (Y reg 6n2 1.4 8v) there wasn't one at all on there ...?unless you know different...grateful for any help on this as the wife needs the car for work on Monday morning.

You need at least a 20 ton press to get the bearings in/out

best take the bits down to a local small garage they can fit it for a good drink
