Hello.

My daughter has just recently got a 55 plate 1.2 and she is really pleased with the car. There is one problem we have had. Going thro a puddle twice the eml light will come on and it will stall or revs go up. Turning car on and off resets car and it's ok.

Anybody got any ideas ?

The only way to find the cause is to get the car connected to VCDS/Vagcom to read any stored fault codes, my initial guess would be one of the finger coils for the spark plugs as they are probably the most common failing item on that engine, but the fault codes will point you in the correct direction
