That's just the wiring adapter loom, you'll need one of their remote boxes as well

Yep That'll be the correct one, just plug n play, remember to transfer the immobiliser chip from your old key and put it into the flip key otherwise the immobiliser will kick in

It shows two options of blank keys which one would I need to get cut to start my car,

And the chip do I just swap it over before I start the car with the new key

You'll need the HU66 blanks then get them cut to your original keys profile. You will have to remove the chip from the original key and put it in the new flip key fob for the car to start, you can buy new chips but you will then have to get them coded to your car with diagnostic equipment

Ok cheers is it easy to transfer the chip over

Also I've just read at the bottom that if your central locking only works from the drivers side you will need a 2 wire motor,

Mine only works from the drivers side as when you put the key in the passenger side or the boot the lock doesn't do anything lol I don't no if that's normal or not

The standard setup is only the drivers door key will open/lock the central locking

You have to split the original key to remove the chip, but be careful you don't damage the chip as it's a glass bead and is quite fragile

How do you split the key as I see no screws.

Is my lock broke then as I've been reading on the net and it's quite common for the lock barrel to brake apparently,as when I put the key in all it does is turn the lock barrel itself

I think I need this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400758034418

So for the remote central locking to work on both sides do I need this

http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=242 To install in the passenger door

You need a knife to split the key,

If the key is operating in the drivers door both normal unlocking and c/locking then you don't need the ebay item, only if the key is just turning in the lock and doing nothing then you need that kit.

You don't need anything extra for the passenger door, it will have the standard VW vacuum central locking unit, that will operate when you lock/unlock from either the drivers door or when you get the rclick unit from the remote fob

Ok cheers yeah the passenger door the key just turns and the lock barrel it's self moves

Can you manually lock/unlock the passenger door with the key? if not then you will need that paddle kit from ebay

hopefully that link works

Yeah that helps abit but could really do with the pictures working

I've updated that post with the info from the dealer manual

Ok cheers for that,it looks like mine has broke right of,by comparing my drivers side one that works to the broken passengers, also the dc confirms this just got to wait for the lock repair kit to come.

You can buy a blank that fits over where the key goes in so as to make it one less point of entry for potential thieves, I only have the key in my drivers door
