6n1 Rear Wipers

Featured Replies

Hey,

I've been trying to find a wiper for my 6n1 for ages, and it's driving me crazy. The arm that's installed has a clip system - not the hook that every arm seems to come with.

I even bought a universal kit that I was told would fit, but unfortunately the diameter of the attachment point is too wide.

Does anyone have a recommendation for what wiper to get?

Cheers

You sure its original and not an arm off of another car? Maybe just take the arm off, take into a motor factors and get them to fit one there and then?

I bought another arm off ebay, as the the clips were broken on my original. Second arm is exactly the same (and it said it came off a car - not a remake). So there's a high chance it's the original.

Thought about the second option, but I don't want to end up paying £20 at halfords or something daft..

Iirc they use a special shape blade. I think they are around £6 from ecp, but that may be a universal type.

Check eBay item number 231119678852 it's an aero blade and arm, apparently an upgrade.

OR if you have a new blade, you could try to swap over the rubber part. This is common practice on jap cars that have special £95 wiper blades

Thanks dixy! I took the rubber refill out of the new wiper, and with a bit of messing around I managed to get it in the old one.

Glad it helped.

I have had to do that a good few times on other cars, but didn't even think to do it on the polo as I very rarely use the wiper but I will be doing it at some point this week as it hasn't had a rubber blade part since I got it 3+ Years ago :)
