I don't even know what it's called, but I have this and it's broken:

Thus the washer jet for the rear wiper doesn't work, and instead just sprays the washer fluid into the boot.

Do I need/anyone have a replacement? Or perhaps there's a DIY method of fixing?

they have like a fish hook style fitting so you may need to use a screwdriver or something from the rear to push the hooks in while you push on the jet

Well I found the part number, 871955985A, but they're discontinued and nowhere seems to sell them. OEM VW shop *seems* to have it, but they want €40 for postage.

However, the Mk3 Golf equivalent looks identical:

I've got two rear wiper motors with a similar issue, the washer jet has snapped at the nozzle end.  Did you have any luck getting a replacement nozzle?

Awesome, there seem to be a few of those about.

Did you go for genuine VW or 3rd party? Is 1H6 955 985 the correct VW part number?

 

Any tips on getting the old one out??  It's in there pretty solid!

They all looked the same to me, so I just picked the cheapest one on eBay ? it's lasted a few years so I'd say it doesn't matter too much

 

And yeah they're quite a tight fit. Because mine was broken from the inside I just pushed it out from the back with a small screwdriver, and got the new one in with a few light taps with a rubber mallet ?
