Polo 9n Interior lighting circuit fault.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I've got a '04 plate 9n 3dr and my interior lights don't work for some reason, I have been doing some hunting around and I have worked out some things so far.

- All the lights on the interior light circuit are not working, I have tested every bulb (including the main lighting cluster, mirror lights and boot lights.

- the plug that the main lighting cluster seems to produce a very low voltage, at first I thought this could be a grounding fault.

- the entire interior lighting circuit seems to be governed by the 'on-board supply control unit' - supply relay. (which I don't know where to find because my relay box (under the steering wheels) seems to have 2 large relays (of which I assume are engine related)

- the fuse for the circuit is still intact.

I have the circuit diagram from my Haynes manual below - (the large box shape at the top seems to be the supply control unit)

If anyone has had the same problem, or any ideas on how I fix this, I would appreciate it.

I've got the same problem, though interestingly enough, If I pop in an LED light, they barely light up, where the normal bulbs don't work at all.
