This car is sold on behalf of my fiancé.

It is a 2001 VW Polo GTI 1.6 16V 125BHP with genuine very low 54810 on the clock and MOT till 21/06/2015. Car is currently declared SORN.

This car is totally standard and has not been altered or modified in any way. It has a full service history stamped in the service book, last FULL service carried out at 54746 miles on 07/11/2014. and had 2 owners before my fiancé took ownership in March 2012.

Everything in the car works and there aren't any engine management, engine associated, airbag or abs lights illuminating under normal conditions.

Owner History:

1st was a female from Melrose in Cumbria, who owned Polo from 04/07/2001 until 26/04/2002.

2nd owner was a doctor from Lockerbie who took ownership from 26/04/2002 all the way till we purchased the card in 17/03/2012.

3rd (My Fiancé) Purchased it on 17/03/2012

Car will come with two remote central locking fob keys (one needs programming to cars ECU but will unlock and lock the car. My fiancé totally forgot to get it done) and all the relevant paperwork.

At the time of purchase of the car in March 2012, we insisted that car had TIMING BELT and 4 x KUMHO TYRES put on a car at 46030 miles

While in our ownership,car had:

At 46964, NSF and OSF wishbones and lower ball joints 20/06/2012

At 46987, Complete tracking carried out with printout and one tyre changed the right way round 30/06/2012

At 47012, rear disks and pads have been replaced 22/07/2012

At 47384, new Bosch S4 battery has been fitted 25/11/2012 with 4 year warranty.

At 48464, car developed a clicking noise when turning steering, this has come to front suspension strut top mount bearings being worn. These have shortly been replaced with genuine VW parts at the cost of £64 (I personally have done this work) but receipt for the parts has been misplaced 12/02/2013

At 48891, an interim service has been carried out 02/05/2013 with advisory to replace clutch.

At 50318, new LUK clutch kit, Genuine VW clutch cable and gearbox oil has been replaced 27/07/2013

At 50376, car has been taken to Citygate Volkswagen in Watford to have gear linkage adjusted 08/08/2013

At 54746, a full service has been carried out at a cost of £173.22. There was and advisory to replace OSR brake caliper, and a steering clicking noise now has come back and has been diagnosed that it is a steering rack pinion has a slight wear. We were told that it isn't a safety issue and ok to drive so but it can be annoying. We have run out of time to get parts sourced and fitted before insurance on a car had run out. But steering rack can be purchased from eBay or local breakers yards for under £40 and fitted within an hour for £60 by a local garage.

At 54794,OS rear brake caliper has been purchased from eBay at the cost of £45 for a pair and replaced at a cost of £110.10.

in July 2013 a centra locking system failed, A fault has been traced to a broken fuel flap central locking actuator and this has been replace by me with a brand new VW part. Receipt supplied.

General condition of the car:

Car has few age related marks/scuffs/scratches/dents around the body work as expected of a nearly 14 year old car.

There is a tiny bit of rust to the bottom of NS front wing.

A dent on the underside of the OS sill where someone jacked the car up in the wrong place, (very common on these face lifted polos as jacking point is very difficult to see unless you get on all fours)

A small dent on top of NS wing.

Alloy wheels have been previously refurbished (prior to out ownership) but not to every ones taste, they look ok but outer rim is of a dark colour making wheels look small. It has never bothered my Fiancé, so she hasn't bothered to do anything about it.

Interior door grab handles have some soft touch rubberised material worn away. This another very common issue on this generation VW cars. These parts are still available to buy from any VW dealership or TPS and cost around £11 per door to replace.

The car is advertised strictly at £2300 OVNO. Sensible offers will be considered but viewing is highly recomended. Cash or bank transfer on collection.

Viewing is strictly by appointment during the week from 6pm till 8pm due to work commitments, or on the weekend from 10 am till 8pm.

Due to car having no insurance or tax, it is not possible to do a road test.
