Hello all, I'm Chris and I've recently entered the world of VW.

First off, a bit of history.

This is my mini, my first car, the one I learnt in and spent most of 3 year driving it, including 2 harsh winters! It's also the source of all my car maintenance knowledge. Recently, it proved itself to be rotten, bodywork wise, and so is awaiting restoration.

In order to get on the road again, I bought this beast a few months ago.

Mostly original, and in decent state, just needs tiding up. Although it's not without it's problems (discovered all the wiring behind the dash, and radio, have been replaced with red wiring...the joys of buying a classic haha)

Hopefully it will serve me well and I can see already that this forum will help, having already gleamed some information from posts :)

I'm sure I'll be asking quite a few daft questions on here so apologies and thanks in advance!
