I'm downsizing, no need for a performance 2.0 diesel anymore and to be honest I never needed the room anyway, I'm off to view a Mk5 3 door white 1.4 Match DSG in the next few days and am here to, well, get my feet under the table and of course, pick brains.

I've read good reports about the Mk 5 especially when linked to the DSG but of course knowledge is power so, is there anything I should be aware of re issues, things to look out for on the test drive, ways to haggle a better price from the salesman etc.
