1990 Calypso blue mk2 polo saloon PROJECT!

Featured Replies

Had this car for a year now and have had to do quite a bit to get it to where it is, started out as a rolling shell with no interior.

Everything is there now, It has:

Genesis front seats

Mk3 leather rear bench(also have the front heated seats which I started to modify and fit with loom and switch in the car)

Mountney steering wheel

Interior is complete.

I also have rev counter clocks in the post

Shell has 100k on it

Afh engine with mk3 5 speed box clutch etc.

Stainless steel manifold and silencer(exhaust not complete)

Will come with 600cc bike carbs and flange with metal tubing.

Facet fuel pump

Everything to finish off the conversion is there minus a slim starter motor, I have one which needs refurbished.

Zender alloys, 15x7 with stretched tyres. 165/50 all round, 2 fronts are brand new and the rears have 3-4mm left. wheels have lacquer peel and curbing, nothing severe though.

Lowered 80mm all round on springs.

Service history up until 08/09 before it was taken off the road by the previous owner.

Couple of small dents here and there. Drivers side arch and sill are rusty but not rotten

This wouldn't be hard to finish off, all that really needs done is:

Fuel pump wired up

Carb manifold Welded (materials supplied)

Exhaust made up (just needs stainless pipe)

Spacers for the arb to make the exhaust fit.

I will get some better photos tonight but here's some for now to try and generate some interest.
