I'm after some wheels for my mk2 bready does anyone no if 15 inch rims with 165/50/15 tires would fit with a 60 mm drop.

No. That combination would barely fit even if you didn't lower it. The box arches on the rear really restrict what you can do to the breadvan without major surgery. I'd recommend looking at 14" rims max down to about 20mm lower, but if you insist on slamming it go 13" wheels and cut up the arches to accept the 50mm+ lowering. Obviously having stretched tyres will help kill the arch gap.

Really is it that bad getting wheels under. The diameter works out virtually the same and only 20mm wider that standard wheels. Arch mods are not a problem

Depends on the wheels you're going for.

If they have a standard offset then they should go under just fine. Certainly at standard height anyway.

What offset would I need mate

It depends on the wheels you are looking at. If your wheels are 6 inch wide you're probably looking at something around 20 - 30 and if your wheels are 7 inch i'd go something a little more for less poke (especially as it's a breadvan). But be careful because you could interfere with your suspension components and restrict your full lock if your offset is too high. It also depends on how your suspension is set up. I'f your rolling around on rock solid coilies then you could get away with having 14x7 et 25 an some stretched tyres with no arch gap. It all comes down to how you want to drive, what wheels you have, what suspension you have and just going for it and seeing what happens.

15's would look far too big in my opinion

Cheers matw so how far would you call excess lowering. Was thinking 60mm

Take a look at these. The first one tells you the tyre sizes, wheel sizes and how low they are, however take into consideration that most of them are the coupes and don't have the breadvans box arch of doom. The second link shows loads of different breadvans, all with different stances but don't say the details on the wheels and height. Referring to the first link you can make a good estimate and get a feel for what works. Remember that most if not all have arch modifications. Knock yourself out.
