@retrowheels kindly sorted me out with a set of clocks with a rev counter

now i was wondering if anyone knew if this is a straight plug and play swap or if i will need to do anything to get the Rev counter working?

Straight plug and play.

I'd swap over the speedo part so you keep the mileage correct but apart from that it is simple.

I know there is an issue with early clocks in late cars or the other way round which effects the oil pressure buzzer, but just plug them in and see.

haha i had a fiddle when they arrived and saw that i could change that over, i dont fancy adding 30k on overnight!

It had 70k on the clock so hopefully they are late clocks.

Unfortunately they must be early clocks.. as soon as i hit 20mph the buzzer starts going and the light starts flashing.

Is there a fix for this or is it a case of selling the cluster and trying a different set out?

the buzzer is to do with early clocks and late clocks having either 1 or 2 oil pressure sensors (cant remember which way round, but think early has 1 sensor for High/low, where as late has 2 seperate sensors for High/low, hence why buzzer sounds most of the time) hope that helps. there is several ways round it
