Have never made one for the G, so here it goes.

Bought this last January, was quite a stange car when i got it. Looked to have had decent attention to some areas, but others had been neglected totally. Charger had good serivce history and bodywork looked better than average so i was happy enough. After a few months of driving it i couldnt help but feel it wasn't half the car of my old GT that got written off. So took it off the road for a semi tidy up and engine service. It came back on the road with the following spec;

• Complete suspension and brake change/refurb
• 14x6J compomotive CX wheels
• Cat-Back SS custom exhaust system
• Wideband AFR gauge / oil pressure
• Corrado front seats
• Digifant injection system taken off and replaced with CB600 Hornet carbs, SS plenum and custom aluminium inlet manifold
• Aldon automotive fully mappable ignition system

This was done mostly for an experiment, though after it showed great potential in power gains and also stil retaining good fuel consumption, i then decided to develop it further.

The car is now back off the road where it has been stripped back to a shell. Whilst irs off the road, it will be having the following;

• Full body restoration (some rust)
• Engine bay tidy up inc. Removal of scuttle panel, smoothing, gussets, re-paint etc
• Custom tension strut conversion, with front frame
• Front mounted IC, bigger radiator
• New headlight panel (bolt on)

Yes mate, the signal wire is cut between the hall effect sensor and ignition module.

Literally the easiest thing I've ever had to wire up, and showed really good results even when I was running the engine NA

Excellent. I was wondering about an automotive grade opto-coupler.

So you can use the boost Amethyst unit for NA. Thought the vacuum/pressure range might be too slanted to boost pressure.

And you can use the boost variant model for NA, as you also get the negative MAP inputs, but they're sparse, I think its in 0.25Bar steps, from -1+1Bar, but don't hold me to that.

I can't upload any ignition advance curves as the module is disconnected, and I stored all the maps on there unfortunately.

Really is a great piece of kit for a novice, I learnt a lot from it. Also extremely good value.

The Amethyst its something I would like to get installed on mine. Its it easy to swap between 'maps'?

According to the docs, you can swap on the fly between 2 maps (with a switch in the dash say) but that sacrifices the immobiliser function.

Yeah, just did not take in G40 and bike carbs.

Yeah mark, as said, a switch can be used to swap between a pair of maps, either 1 & 2 , 5 & 6 etc

The unit can hold 8 maps locally, and then you can save an infinite amount on your laptop and just upload them into the 8 slots.

If I'm honest, I only ever had two edited maps. One testing one, and then a base.

Yeah, I've tried directly posting each link into the text box, but just comes up with a link obviously.

Also tried using the "IMAGE" tool and it just says I cant use the extension in this community

Max if your not already using it try posting the pics using Google Chrome browser, I can't get anything to paste into IE browser with Win7 but it works fine with WinXp ????

Hmm, I have IE on my work computer and it doesn't work.

try using Tapatalk on your mobile, that works really well for me, none of this copying or pasting links and all that gubbins, makes looking at forums really good on your phone too. You have to pay a bit for the image hosting version of tapatalk, but its soooo worth it

its your photobucket setting.. for some reason in the img link its adding ~original to the end.. and the forum is thinking that this is the file type and not .png remove that and its fine :) so it might be in the photobucket setting somewhere

Pictures at last!!!! in intrigued at the bikes carbed g40, never soon this done before. Does it give much more BHP than standard g40?

It was very noticeably quicker with the conversion. Very fun to drive.

It was rolling roaded at 120bhp as standard.

First section of the subframe done, going to do the rear section and then tie them together with the side sections where the tension strut mounts will be.

Looks like plenty of work to do before the RR day ??
