Ibiza cupra in 6n seat frame help

Featured Replies

OK so got my seat Ibiza half leathers today fitted them no probs straight in apart from removing the seat clamps on the rear

They look really good I'm happy with them

But the driver seat frame is mashed

The leaver to the left won't hold the seat in position it you lift it up it just falls down ie highering and lowering the seat position does not work you can raid it but if you sit on it it just falls to the lowest position

Also when I sit in the seat it leans back and twists to the left side , its not stable at all

No The base upon inspection looks the same as the 6n fronts

Can I change theses , and how do I do it and is it hard

Or can I just change parts

On close inspection the teeth that hold the seat in height position the cog is mashed on the teeth and there is some kind if weld

Please advise

I had exactly the same problem when I fited the leathers to my Ibiza.

Remove the backrest, remove the base cover & cushion, from the leathers, strip your old seat to the same, then fit the leather cover & cushion to the old base frame, refit the backrest.

Here's a guide on how to do it 6N Seat covers.doc
