Unfortunately I sold the zenders because my adapters had broke, I didn't want to spend £200 on a new set so got a decent amount of money for them and bought some 13x7 mangel steels, I'm quite happy with how well they fit

Heres a picture I found of the polo indoors at dubfreeze, blending in with the beetles

The mangels were in quote a state when I bought them, very rusty and slightly pitted in areas, two were painted white quite badly, but my the paint came off easy enough with thinners and I took all the rust off with water, aluminium foil and some elbow grease, I think they came up well

Yeh dude, gonna get the headlight brackets welded up tomorrow and paint it black and fit it this week, should change the whole look of the front end

Brackets have been cut and welded, now they fit nice and snug, just need to wire brush the welds tomorrow, paint the brackets so they dont oxidise, wet scotch and paint the grille and then fit it, and imgoing to put a black mk2 bumper iron on

That is going to look so good.

I was very happy with the respray, I decided to keep the originality of the car and have the front stratos blue metallic and have the rear in diamond silver metallic

Painted the grille black and it is now fitted, I quite like how flush it fits against the bonnet and wings compared to the standard grille

Decided to stick my old grille badge on because I wasnt a fan of it debadged. Kinda looks like a t25 a bit

Managed to track down a mk2 polo bubblecar bodykit to go with my grille, its just missing the splitter but a custom one wilo be made instead, painted it black and did a little test fit 

I decided to buy another set of wheels, these are fiat coupe 4 spokes

16"x7" so will be sitting quite nicely once I've had a chassis notch, heres a quick testfit, I just need to paint them and buy some tyr, expect to see them on soon

Looking quality so far Liam. Glad to see big wheels are making a comeback too

Cheers for the feedback guys, im going for a 90s euro style but 80s if you get me haha, broken my elbow so once that heals up I'll refurb the wheels, get some tyres on, and buy some wobble bolts and spacers and get the chassis legs notched, and widen the rear arches a tad more, should be tucking nice, fronts currently at this height on 13" wheels but should be able to get it down a touch more or two

Cheers dude, hopefully have them on soon, once someone buys my mangels I can get tyres for them

So I decided to keep the mangels to put on the skoda favorit my girlfriend just bought on Friday, and had some transparent blue paint so she painted the centres of the front wheels lol, and I am awaiting tyres, spacers and wobble bolts now so will get started on refurbing the 16's, should hopefully have them on for VWNW on Sunday. 

Polo is now off the road and will be starting my engine swap next week, and probably gonna get a load if other stuff done until it sees the road again
