Small vibrations in drivers door when idle cause rattle

Featured Replies

Hi all, wonder if anyone could help on this, when I start my engine there's a rattling sound coming from my drivers door, I'm sure that's the case as when I open the door it goes away but then when I close it, it comes back. There's nothing in the door compartment and I'm a bit non plussed at this noise which is irritating every time I start my car. The noise disappears when I start moving as well, it's only when I stop. I won't make out like it's the end of the world, it's really not that bad but it is bugging me and if anyone has come across this and has a fix I'd love to try it!

Somewhere, something is not fitting exactly right and I would love to sort it out.

I too have this problem, no idea what it is its so annoying

I've got loads of small bits of paper put in gaps around my car to stop rattles :ninja:

Have you checked the fitment of the door card? Maybe a loose clip or something?

go round pressing on each section and see if it goes away..something is either loose or rubbing

you can take the card off and put a dab of silicone sealer on anything that might rattle or some butyl tape
