Hi everyone.

I am in the process of fitting a roll cage to my saloon, as you probably know, that involves lots of welding and grinding. While I am there and have the dash off, I am thinking of tidying up the floor pan and the rear seat area.

I will be seam sealing, priming and painting. Previously I have just used Grey Stripe on to bare metal and then factory top coat paint over the top.

Can anyone confirm if that is the best way of doing things in terms of longevity and rust prevention, or is there a product which seals the metal that could go on before the grey stripe?

Is it worth priming over the top of the grey stripe or is it better to go straight to topcoat?

Any process help, product suggestions or pictures of your work very much appreciated.

bare metal should be primed , id use epoxy primer

Snap I used epoxy 121 then seal with tiger seal the top coat ..
