Hi All,

Recently, the rear washer stopped working on my Polo 6N2 Gti. I checked the forums and followed the advice to check for leaks, but couldn't find anything. Now the front washers have stopped working too.

I filled the reservoir up yesterday and the problem started as intermittent but now has stopped working altogether. I can hear the motor working but no water comes out on either the front or rear windows.

The level of the fluid in the reservoir has dropped quite a lot and there does seem to be some water collecting on the battery tray (but not as much as I would have expected and this could be an unrelated issue)

Any ideas or advice as to how I get to the bottom of the problem would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Hello mate lift bonnet and disconnect the pipe that feeds both washer jets and then try see if water comes out of pipes if not then you got a blocked pump blocked pipes or a no good pump. In the mean time remove washer bottle and clean it out along with the rest of the system as the get crap in them.also clean the washer jets also by putting them in a cup of hot water for abit then remove and blow thru them. Good luck mate.

Nice one, thanks for this!

I'll let you know how you get on if my hands can stand the cold!

Cheers
