1991 Polo GT Coupe

Featured Replies

For sale, I have my 1991 Polo GT Coupe. I have owned the car since July 2014 and have used it as my daily ever since. This is my first car and has been very good to me and has never ever let me down.

Since I have owned the car, I have done very minor upgrades.

Currently the polo has a 4-2-1 manifold fitted and a drilled airbox with a pipercross panel filter. It would definitely benefit from an uprated cam and a chip.

The engine and gearbox are absolutely brilliant the clocks read just under 173000 but it has been very well maintained. In the last 3 months the engine has benefited from a new cambelt, alternator and belt, head gasket and skim, rocker cover gasket and new gearbox oil.

It also has a ged lower brace bar fitted. The front brake pads were also changed at the same time as the engine work to EBC green stuff pads.

The car came with 13" BBS RA's which I still have, I may include them in the sale if the price is right. Currently the car has 14" vw bottle cap wheels which can be seen in the link below.

I also have a few extra parts which I'm going to include in the sale, I have the original door cards which are kind of a purple colour but are a little faded but they are 20+ years old so to be expected. I have an original Votex grill which is fitted currently to the car. I also have two badgeless grills and one original plain badged grill. I have the original lights with the orange coloured indicators which are not fitted currently as I have the late spec/G40 lights fitted. Also included are a full set of unpainted GT arch trims and bumpstrips + spoiler which imo will make the car look a lot better once fitted just never got round to it.

The MOT is due 07/05/2015 and currently has tax but is not included due to new rules.

The private reg in the photos is NOT included in the sale

I'm looking for around £1100 ono for it

If you want any more information PM me or post on here.

The car is located in Southampton
