Hello guys, I really want fog lights and I've found the fill kit with switch and everything

What more do I need?

I've read somewhere that warning or error lights will appear and they won't work so someone with vag com needs to install it for me? Anybody Done this job themselves thanks

Tbh with most newer vag cars it's hit or miss, some will throw a tantrum, some will just work.

Vagcom is the easy part, the cables can be had with the free version of the software for £10-15 and I'm pretty sure basic things like that are covered.

Once the lights are fitted and the wiring is in place and connected properly then you can know for sure.

Also, as these are Chinese copies, they may even hook up differently to how vw would, so they may not even go through the ccm, and go directly to the switch.

Might be worth asking the seller to email you the fitting instructions, perhaps you might have to imply you misplaced yours :). Then post that up on here and someone will be able to help you with it.

EDIT: just had another look and if you do use the harness that in the pictures, they won't function as vw would intend. Nothing wrong with this if you want them on/off, but if you wanted say them to run as DRL (pretty sure they can) then they would be at full brightness, this is because of it using a relay.

I am not sure, but usually on certain models they will include the fog light wiring on the body harness so it may be worth checking if you have the wiring behind the bumper grilles, if this is the case then you can plug them straight in and swap the switch and they should work, may ned a fuse in the fuse box etc but should be straight forward.

If it doesn't then just follow there instructions for fitting the wiring.
