Hi,

Our 3 door Polo has really slow electric windows on both sides and they are so slow they actually stick in a still open position.

I did take the os door apart and lubed up the mechanism but after a short spell of improvement, it went back to as before :(

I suspect it is the motors as both switches seem to work.

Anyone done this repair and if so what is the best option? Struggling to find replacement motors on ebay,gsf, eurocarparts etc. Can this be done or does the entire mechanism need to be changed? Anyone know if likely to to have 2 or multi pin connectors?

I found that the best course of action was to replace the whole regulator set up. If you're lucky you can get the whole set up on eBay for £20-£30.

However, make sure you get one for a 3 door as the wires are different lengths for 3 door and 5 door models. And also check that you're getting the correct side, ie drivers or passengers.
