New Member, First Car!

Heyy everyone,

So, I got myself my first car yesterday. Made up with it :D

It's a nice little 2001 1.0 Polo :) Great condition, cheap price!

Turned 17 in December, so started driving on my birthday, soon to pass my test (Hopefully!)

So, here's my little thing (Pictures are from when I got it, been cleaning & polishing all day today!):

So, the good bits about it:

12 Months MOT.

Just had a new clutch.

Also just got a reconditioned gearbox.

Pedal box has only just been welded up.

Very clean in and out.

No mechanical problems (That I know of yet!).

The bad:

Needs new bonnet (Completely rusted and rotted up inside and out and dented).

Very slight rust on rear wheel arch.

Tyres could have better tread, but are still legal.

Can't wait to get off of my provisional, looking forward to using this a lot!

Wouldn't mind getting some nice little alloys for it though, look a lot nicer than these chavvy hub-caps!

And also, new member to the site, so I'll see you all around!

Welcome along, nice tidy little base you got there! Good luck for when you take your test!

Welcome along,

Good luck with the driving test :)

Good luck mate, I've recently passed myself and it's a lot easier than they'd have you think!

Welcome to the forum, hope you get all you are looking for from us.

My dad would kill for the wheels on that 9000 in the background

Car looks nice and it's had everything that usually goes wrong with them already fixed!

Nice to see someone who knows a Saab for a change! Loved them for years, and dad's owned his 9000 Aero for about a year or so :D

And yeah most common problems have been sorted thankfully!

My girlfriend's stepdad has a complete set of 16" 9000 alloys off an N reg Aero in his garage, that he'll never use but never sell! That car's gone but the alloys have stayed.

Over sentimental! He's got a 900 Turbo and it's gorgeous.

We used to have a 900 SE but got rid of it when we got the 9000. Would love a nice two door turbo one though :air_kiss:
