Engine: engine raised 15mm, k03 turbo on custom modified starlet turbo exhaust manifold. blow through turbo carb fitted using custom adapter plates, forge actuator, mildly ported head, 268 turbo cam. and over a bar of boost :)

Suspension: shock and spring kit, arb blocks,Gt rear axel fitted and gt steering damper, stage 2 subframe poly tcas,

Brakes: vw 11 g40 brakes with drilled and grooved discs and greenstuff pads, standard rears

Wheels and Tyres: 14 golf steels

Exterior Styling: front mount intercooler. diy beige respray

Interior Styling: gt seats, aem wideband, tim boost gauge, omp 6point cage, custom boot floor ( marine ply and tig welded steel supports) 

ICE and Security: thatcham alarm and imobiliser . and aftermarket tracker fitted

Gt box before it went in, think an 8p would have been better Owell

Very nice diy paint job.

Paints abit tatty after 2 years of abuse needs redoing to be honest, here's a pic at a car meet next too a high spec g40 :)

Yeah it's a cool looking cheap colour, not an amazing job, but I'm more of an engine guy

And if I crash it or scratch it, it's not the end of the world :)

Tonight I took apart my forge actuator which basically controls the boost by pushing the waste gate open the previous owner was running about 20 psi so I took the stiff spring out and fitted a spring that opens the waste gate sooner, so less boost as I'm setting it all up :)

looks old and slow haha :) 150-180 bhp. as much as my standard clutch can take.

before i fit a paddle jobbie. I've been looking at intercoolers and water meth injection in depth

today :)

So I started stripping and cleaning the bay ready for paint taking the loom out ect cutting the spi loom and shortining it, so far I've cut the ecu out the loom and now I'm doing some more cutting wrapping ect ect :)

So I've had a busy weekend, sprayed my bay and spent far to long making a gauge holder out Of household materials some left over acrilic made for a green house some paint, a few chip board screws and some pu sealant 😂 hopefully the other gauges will be easier as I'm going to buy the proper gauge pods

Still yet to paint the battery tray, and the screws have been removed from the gauge and it's now all sealed so it won't move atall, and I can still remove the gauge if I need too.

Did you just spray the manufacturer plate that is riveted to the slam panel?

It should be a case of simply drilling the rivets out, painting, then re attaching it with new rivets?

Yes that would be the case just drill and rivet it with a hand riveter, but I just carefully masked it and I masked the vin number at the back of the engine bay, I didn't wanna warp the plate or anything and I saved drilling and riviting it it's never gonna come off so I'm happy.

In the picture the masking tapes still on by the way, also the factory rivets looks better undisturbed.

Yeah I'm hoping it will be running in about 3 months, hopefully in time to drive up to the polo show :) still lots to buy and fit yet and setup the carb, and maybe I might even get reliability but one thing at a time 😄
