Now to put in some work to get the power down, and modify the throttle wheel to make the throttle pull alittle shorter :)

Wow. For context 1397cc R5 turbo had 120 bhp.

Have you seen this kit?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351231319839

It's for DMTL, but might work on 32DIR?

Or do you mean to change the profile of the wheel into a quarter ellipse. That gives fine control at low speeds but quicker movement at wider openings.

That cables well expensive haha, max i will be spending is about £5 😂 Its not a wheel shape mate thats the problem its like a lever on a shaft, so maybe even fitting a wheel will be better, I'm most probably gonna bend something or attach the throttle cable to a differnt part of the lever.

Sorted it for £3 from a bike shop, the new cable design is awesome, and no theottle wheel modification 👍 And full pull on the wheel.

Been thinking about that ;) do you drive yours down and back from scottland? Been thinking about if a trailer would be better or not.

I did last year and that is the plan this year too, Although hiring a trailer isn't expensive, certainly cheaper than getting recovered.

Well i have rac cover and track insurance with my insurance, apparently i can get recovered to any destination in the uk with the expensive cover they offer which i took out, not sure if a trailer would be a good move id have the boost wound up anyway 👍

Update on this, went on holiday didnt start it since end of december and now it wont fire up 😂 Changing coil pack hopefully that should sort it, might even fit my custom spi ignition setup if i can be bothered and all else fails.

Custom SPI ignition set up? What's that involve?

  • Author

Cant tell you that mate 😉 Do some reaserch in the right places, all i can say a mix of ignition compnents that can achieve better timing to avoid det when on boost, and pretty much free comapered to nodiz ect 😂
