Ok, I've overhauled the rear brakes on my Saloon, new cylinders, shoes, drums etc and also needed the handbrake cables doing. Its the later type handbrake with only one cable coming from the lever. The problem I have is getting enough slack in the system to get both the short cables that go into the hubs connected to the single cable.

Does anyone have so tricks or tips to get this sorted?

Have you backed the adjusters off?

It's easiest to get the calls on and hooked up to each other, then hook the arm on on the shoe.

Yes, I backed the adjusters off but there seems to be an awful long way for the cable to reach. I'll try and take a pic to make things a little clearer.
