Featured Replies

Saw this joel, Its the first I have seen where the arch is blended properly into the breadvan quarter, It was on mk1-3 and i have asked for more pictures but it could be an idea if all else fails and your still attached to the mahles.

dont like that one bit how it curves into that line

dont like that one bit how it curves into that line

Just got other photos..I dont think it looks too bad...I think it would take getting used to though, The round arch without blending may even look better looking at it now

EDIT: I think the curve bit where it blends is too smooth, It needs to be more edgy

doesnt match up with the bumper line either

doesnt match up with the bumper line either

yeah it looks like to blend the rear with the line he had to position the arch further forwards of the original position or something

What bilsteins did you have upfront and would you sell them?

  • Author

not sure on model but I'll check and I'll be selling all 4 corners plus springs in new year once my coilovers are on

  • Author

they are bilstein b4's and come with a 60/40 lowering kit

Here's a better picture of my car, this time on 7x16 ET 65 with 35/45 mm adapters and 195/40-16 The lines on the arch flow better with larger wheels

then we ran into some problems with the rear as the nuts supplied where the wrong thread and if it wasn't for my dad helying me I'm sure I'd be needing a new rear coilover ahahah so for the time being I put the 40mm springs back in and I'm off for some new today and hopefully get them on tonight

Looks pretty perfect, front could come down a tad but it still looks awesome as it is

Is that the eBay arch roller? If so what do you make of it?

it's my daily still so can't have it too low ahha and it's okay when you get it set up but on the front it's too long to actually do any rolling and on rear I had to undo bottom bolt of shock and use a jack to move it to where I wanted.

Wheels do suit that :)

Shame you had to roll the arches though :-(

Arches should be fine if treated right etc. Atleast he's not done what a lot of the bready owners do and angle grind the lip lol

I've left enough so I can pull them back out and only the rear is rolled the front is still stock

this came on Friday just waiting on boss now

Why? I see no problems with rolling the arches as long as the paint does not crack.

Oh don't get me wrong, there's no issue, just a shame to me as I like them original.

I like that steering wheel mate. Should suit your paint nicely.

Yep, I had the other set on my Coupe! 14x6 ET13?

I am aware of the potato camera and the wonky numberplate, both will be sorted soon

Thanks

Joel

Looks nice. Is there no way to get the back down a little? And I'd lose the rub strips ;)

Also, stop looking for validation on Facebook fella, you only get haters on there. This place is much more supportive. And who you building the car for anyway ;)
