Looks nice. Is there no way to get the back down a little? And I'd lose the rub strips ;)

Also, stop looking for validation on Facebook fella, you only get haters on there. This place is much more supportive. And who you building the car for anyway ;)

ordered some camber shims to add a little camber so I can run it lower and I quite like the rub strips for now, I know it's a lot more friendlyrics on here ahah

I agree with prankstar, just build it for yourself, your doing a nice proper job it seems so far for your first car! I half arsed a few things on my first car.

Leave the Facebook scene to angle grind their cars and scrap them 2 days later. 80 percent of their opinions aren't valid lol

Couldn't have said it better myself! Everyone on Facebook is just after likes and comments (hence why I was so blunt when you did the same) stick to building the car to make you happy. Doesn't matter what everyone else thinks.

Looking forward to some decent pictures when you sort your camera out :)

Badgless grill will look good I reckon

Keep up the good work mate and i add to whats already been said, build the car you want and that way you will always be happy with it and no thoughts of wish i had done it this way and that way.

At the end of the day you own arguably one of the nicest mk2 polos about so it really doesn't make a difference when people on fb chat sh*t. I'm jealous that you found such a clean example!

Love da rims, massive tyres though. Do they affect you are gear ratio or mpg

Thanks for all the love guys!! this forum is top class :good:

the rim and tyre combo is smaller than the original 13" steels even though they're 14", and it hasnt seem to affect anything so far!

I'm running 14" with a low profile tyre and the rolling radius is around about the same as before with the 13" steelies.

It does ride a little more harshly though, the car seems to depend kind of heavily on the tyres for some of it's suspension.

I've definitely found that, with my steels on its a lot less harsh

When i had 195/45/14s on the ride was rough and it used to 'tram line' pretty bad too

what is 'tram lining'? seen it alot but dont really know what it is?

It's where the car wheels follow the road surface on their own. Narrower tread patterns make it worse.

Good reason you should always be holding on to your steering wheel :)

also what can I do with this? is there replacement's? or best way to sort it?

Use a wire wheel to get remove all surface rust and to get it to see how deep the rust is, if it just ends up as just plain bear metal then paint it. Otherwise I guess a garage or welder could weld in a replacement section. I'm pretty sure the only oem replacement would be the whole front valence which is a lot of money, good luck pal (there could be a better of fixing it)

upon further inspection you can't feel it from either the inside or out

Looks great on those wheels. All five of them.

The screen clearly won't pass an MoT, do you have windscreen cover on your insurance? Even if it's like 70 quid excess.
