Removed from a mk2 golf. Car drove in all gears fine!

What model code is this gearbox?

085 8N to fit 86C POLOS and maybe some 6N polos

According to ElsaWin that code 8N was only fitted to Mk2 Golf & Jetta, not listed as fitted to any Polo

It's from a 1.3 mk2 golf. I believe it has the same engine as a coupe s (need to double check boot sticker) I see no reason why this should not fit a mk2 polo. In fact of you do your homework there are a few people with these boxes on GT's and G40's

any idea what the ratios are like? anything similar to the 085 8p box?

Due to it's weight, and working 6 days a week (no time for a courier to decide to show up) il only do it collected

Also no real comment on ratios, car did not have a rev counter. However google has some answers. I think the final drive is different?
