I currently have a 1.0L MK2 Facelifted Polo, the Fox Coupe edition, I'm looking to do a conversion to a G40 with it, the shell and underside of the chassis are in good condition so I want to re-use these

The main issue I'm having is finding an Engine and other parts like Supercharger and Gearbox

Also, are there any major structural differences with the chassis and body compared to the G40 model?

Some of the components on the G40 are different to your shell however the body itself is the same, and will receive it nicely.

Components off the top off my head that are different include shorter springs, rear beam (with ARB), rose jointed track control arms, rose jointed steering arms, vented front disc brakes.

The trouble is that my body and chassis are fine and rust free, so are most of the engine parts, so I don't really need a whole car, but, sometimes this is the only option

You may be cheaper buying a whole car, as getting all the parts one by one can become expensive.

You'll be roughly £1000 for the basic engine conversion, then add the G40 specific items on top of that.

It may be worth looking at LHD G40s for sale on the continent.

I'm building a saloon g40 and my mates building a mk2 1.0l into a g40 so if you need any help give us a shout..
