Got the opportunity of front seats from a mk5 golf, but I was curious as to how much work it'd require or even if they fit, I keep thinking that they may be too big to even sit in the car right, any ideas or advice appreciated. (mk2 breadvan, not slightly concerned about the weight to be honest)

yeah id agree they're too big and heavy for the mk2

I'm not bothered about the weight but I do think they're just too bulky, because of that I doubt anyone has done it

Mk2 Golf seats are pretty bulky in a Polo, so yeah, they might be a bit much. You do sit a long way up in a new car compared to an old Polo, so you might find yourself a bit near the roof.

The mountings are totally different.
