It would cost a lot to hire someone to do this like! Although I'd do it, and I'm a welder/fabricator by trade so you know it'll be done right

Well that's her lowered! Not fully though, need to cut the bump stops and flip the bottom mounts for extra lows :P

I just need someone to weld the plates in I could do the rest, out of interest what's a rough price it'll cost just to weld the plates in?

There's a lot of welding involved, and I'd want to grind them out too to make sure everything is fully penetrated etc.

Rough quote would be about £500 all in before material costs etc.

Got my stickers made up for Unphased15, will be on the West Coast VAGZ club stand half done, just going to primer the bay so I can make it to the show, then finish the rest for Fitted Show in June :)

BUT! The next show is my local one, Cumbria VAG on June 20/21st, and yes, it's a weekender!

So I'll be on the West Coast VAGZ clubstand for you all to see!

This really will be a good show to reveal it at, and have you seen the headliners?! Viper Records hosting the main stage with The Prototypes and Brookes Brothers. So if you share my passion for DnB and VWs, get your asses there for one hell if a weekend!

SO! What do you guys think?
Fired a bit more gloss on to get a better image of what it'll be like... And I love it!
There's a couple of rough bits on the front panel that curves around from the mount and down the side of the chassis leg where the charcoal canister went, so I'll flat them back and give them a little more attention to get them to the standard I want.

Sorry for not posting many photos of the smoothing process too, it's just painfully slow and boring haha!

Sorry for the lack of posts!
Started my new job, so I've been concentrating on that.

Will be resuming the rebuild next week I think, and I've decided to take my time and do a proper job of it, ready for summer 2016 I'd say!

Pretty cool update, got myself a 6n2 dash & centre console!

But more importantly... A 1.4 16v Lupo Sport engine to go in, just need to change the valve stem seals (Which a guy at work said he'll do, thank god for working at M-Sport!) Then it'll be good to go.

The last few months have been tough, but I'm really starting to get my motivation back for this project!

Yeah man, lost all interest at the moment due to working 12 hour shifts, no time to do anything!

On a bright note, I'm going to pick up a mint condition 6N open air tomorrow!!!
