I've owned this car for the past two years. Now that I'm living in London I just don't need to drive it to get around and don't have time to drive it just for the joy of driving it. It's a fantastic, stunning little car that gets a lot of attention- I don't think I've stopped for petrol once without someone commenting on it or asking about it. It's got real character and has low mileage and is in good condition.

Good points:

- Over the past 2 years the car has had:

  • Battery
  • Petrol tank (filler neck had rusted)
  • Timing belt and water pump
  • Recent full service

- Starts and drives really well

- Newish good quality tyres

- Working sunroof - no leaks and no rust on the arms

- Everything inside the car works - lights, fans etc.

- Tons and tons of paperwork showing all work the car has ever had

- Underneath has been undersealed

- Bonus working Weber carb included in the sale which you can fit to the car if you like

  • (When I got the car, I had issues with the original Pierburg and bought a Weber carb which I had fitted along with a manual choke conversion. I thought it was worth it as I have heard of other people having lots of issues with the Pierburg, but the Weber never worked as well as it should and a good clean of the Pierburg had it working normally again. The Weber is now in the boot and you can fit it if you like, although you would probably need a service kit with gaskets)

- Original factory fitted Votex body kit

- Paintwork in good condition for age

- Original vinyl stripes along the sides, red stripes around wing mirrors

- Cool red striped interior with leather head rests and red door cards

Bad points:

- Paintwork looks excellent but is starting to develop a few rust spots. I've added a picture of the worst bit.

  • If I was keeping it - I would have had it resprayed and the rust sorted.

- There is another section of rust at the bottom of the windscreen.

- Washer bottle in the boot has a crack and leaks if you try to fill it

- Battery tray has rusted at some point in it's life and has been repaired. It's now solid

Location: Indian Queens, Cornwall

(You could also pick it up in London, but I would need to know I have a serious buyer before driving it up here!)
