Just returned from dubshed in Belfast this weekend .Seeing as it was my first real show to go to it really opened my eyes to the level of detail people put into their cars .The things that caught my eye most were the custom interiors and engine bays.

I'm not that mechanically savy so the engine bay would be something id leave to do very last .Right now I'm dead set on getting the seats,door cards and headliner reupolstered .Hoping someone could clue me in on how much you'd be talking price wise .Also if anyone knows anywhere that does a quality job at this kind of thing in Ireland (preferably the Northwest/North)

It'd probably be cheaper to buy this to be honest.

A rough guess would be around £2,000 for a good job at a reputable place. You can get it done cheaper but I've seen some of the cheaper jobs, seat covers would be better . It's like body work really cheaper can mean severely worse quality.

This was what I saw when I was searching around for a retrim, ended up buying some colour concept seats.

You could do the headliner and pillars yourself. I did it's not too hard of a job, just requires patience and time.

Cheers for the insight buddy .I was looking for stuff like that originally but I think I want to just keep the standard gti seats and get a nice leather retrim all round want to keep the concept of black leather red stitching and keep the stock steering wheel and gear stick .

Are your seats already leather? You can buy black leather polo gti seats for around £150 it'd cost 10x that for a retrim.

No just the standard GTi 1 semi bucket seats .I'm looking for something more along the lines of this .

You would be looking at £1,500+ to have a retrim like that. It's really not cheap.

I paid £80 for my seat bolster to be repaired, I supplied the fabric. That was just one panel.

Fair enough. Should go for something more daring than black for the money you'd spend though.
