Featured Replies

Got a spare set of twin 40's that need a refurb. One has a rounded screw in on of the butterflys. After £175 for the pair.

Perhaps you should have been more specific yourself?

If you want locations within region then ask a question like: Where in the south west are you?

Frankly mate if your going to take that attitude then please go and moan irrelevantly at someone else.

What are the specs on the weber

Venturi sizes

Jet Sizes

Main Jet

Air Corrector Jet

Idle Jet

Emulsion tube size

Are they a matched pair (serial numbers)

Dude I don't care where you live how much posted to north west?

Just a friendly bit of advice for those wanting to buy twin 40's "do your research".

I ask for the spec of the carbs to see if they are nearly set to run on a 1300 and more importantly are they a matched pair if not the progressive drilling will be different and make it difficult to jet.

And with twin 40's you need four or two of everything

Chokes £12 each = £48

Elusion tubes £11 each = £44

Jets £3 each = £12

Idle Jets £3 each = £12

Service kit £15 = £30

Throttle linkage £50 (Cheapest)

£196

And that not everything new parts are not cheap

Air filters (£50), regulators (£60), fuel pump (£30), manifold (£200)

It would be nice to have some photo and list of what jets and chokes are in the carbs

I'm interested as I have most of these things already from a Dellorto set up
