Wassup guys

Like most of the others on the forum I'm experiencing oil around my throttle body. I noticed when I switched the airbox to a coned filter.

It's an AUD engine with two breather hoses coming from the front right on top of the engine and one from the left of the throttle body, does anyone have any idea which one is more likely to pump out oil ?

I'm thinking of putting In a oil catch tank but can't decide which breather hose to hook it up to

The main breather is the one at the back of the engine by the dipstick tube and is the one most likely to be dumping the oil around the TB, on that engine there is a vacuum operated valve that should open under a certain vacuum and direct the breather direct into the inlet manifold, on my AUD this valve had failed and my TB looked like an oil slick !! replaced the valve & all the 8mm vacuum pipes with silicon hose from ebay £8 for a metre and now nothing :)

What about the other two that go to the airbox ?

The bigger one on the left ( #2 in pic) is from the main breather block on the rear of the engine and it is the one that connects to the valve I mentioned, the thin one ( #5 ) on the right side of the airfilter box is a breather for the rocker cover

What's that valve called ? I'm having the exact same issue on my 6n2 1.4 8v, so I'll try it your way and change the valve and breather pipes

Thought it was pcv valve but can't find anything related to that for sale

I must admit I struggled to get my Seat dealer to even accept there was one fitted until I showed it to the parts manager, then eventually he found it on ETKA. I think it was around £25 3 years ago
