So being a typical Scot, anything that costs next to nothing is good, and I always need my phone handy. vent clips and screen mounts are useless and my phone always just sit in the pocket under stereo. This is what I came up with for the grand total of £2.59...

Not the greatest pic, will need to get more. basically is a piece of 15mm x 2mm aluminium bar from B&Q, bent to shape in the form of 2 "arms" to fit in the pocket under stereo. 20 minutes to make, lifts in and out in seconds as not permanent. Holds my 7" tablet, or my mobile in landscape mode, connected to stereo with aux cable that neatly tucks in behind out the way :D
