Hello there i was hoping for some help. Last night I swapped out a 1 litre block for the 1.3 on the 4 speed box but having issues disengaging the clutch. Is there anything different needed for the swap or should the clutch and flywheel off the engines be identical? Cheers

I'm currently using the same gearbox that was in the car already, but the new engine had a clutch on it already. It's sat for a while so would be slightly seized but can't seem to break it after nearly an hour of trying so could possibly be something else. It feels as if the clutch won't disenge far enough. Thanks a lot.

The clutches should have been the same.

Did you make sure the release bearing was seated correctly before installing the box?

Also what clutch cable do you have? A manual or auto adjust type?

Sorted! Cheers for the advice it's a manual cable BTW. I just got a bit aggressive and managed to unseize the clutch which seems that was all was happening. Nice difference from the 1043 to the 1272 block. Just going to get more out of it slowly now..
