Has anyone used lowering spring caps on a mk2f? I only need to lower the front a bit more but definitely not cutting the springs! Any advice would be great, thanks in advance ✌️

From what I've seen the lowering top caps are very soft and the top of the shock seems to try and punch through them over time.

What springs are you running just now?

I did wonder how they would compare to oem. Not 100% sure of the drop as they came on the car but I'd say it's down 60, possibly 80mm

80mm is about as low as you can go with the stock struts anyway before you start to get issues with the steering arms. They start to foul on the inlet manifold and where they go through the body.

It's expensive but have you looked into coilovers?

Yup mines on 60mm springs with two coils off and foul the servo on bumps! you may even end up with the tca's fouling the chassis too, seen a few bent due to that!

Definitely gunna have to be smart about things. I think coilovers are gunna be the expensive but best way forward. Thanks for the help guys ✌️
